Nearly five years after we said goodbye to Lost, the stars have aligned and the series’ famous numbers will appear once more.
The mysterious number sequence 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 appeared frequently throughout the show’s six seasons, as did the individual numbers on their own.
This afternoon, the date and time will for one second form the number sequence in its entirety: April 8, 2015 at 4:23 pm and 42 seconds equals (using military time) 4/8/15 16:23:42.
But what does it all mean?!
We’ll never know, but the internet is celebrating – and issuing warnings – regardless.
Over on Reddit you can ‘push the button’ like the occupants of the island’s Swan station.
Meanwhile, Twitter users aren’t sure whether to be excited or wary.
Somewhere (prob guarding the island) Hurley’s about to freak out. It’s 4/8/15 & at 16:23:42 (4:23pm & 42 secs) the world might end. #LOSTDay
