Bradley Cooper, of The Hangover and American Sniper fame, has a role in the secretive Sci Fi/Horror/Thriller movie 10 Cloverfield Lane.
The movie is produced by J.J. Abrams, of Lost and Star Wars: The Force Awakens fame. Bradley and J.J. have worked together previously on the spy-action series Alias.
The details of 10 Cloverfield Lane are largely being kept under wraps, and it is not yet clear who Bradley is playing in this movie, although it is not believed to be a major role.
The original 2008 Cloverfield movie received mainly positive reviews. It was presented in the style of home camera footage and followed teenagers investigating an unknown monster, causing havoc in New York City.
10 Cloverfield Lane is said to not be a direct sequel of Cloverfield; J.J. has described it as a “blood relative” to the movie instead.
While full details are sketchy, it seems the movie will again feature a monster, or monsters, but of a different type to the one in Cloverfield.
According to J.J. Abrams, it is scarier than Cloverfield as 10 Cloverfield Lane is not so much reliant on gore, but on fear itself.

10 Cloverfield Lane was not originally the title of the movie, as its initial draft was called The Cellar.
The Cellar refers to the underground cellar where a woman (Michelle) awakes, following a car accident. She believes she has been abducted and needs to escape, no matter what she might find if she does.
The main role of Michelle is played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who is known for her horror roles in movies including Black Christmas and The Thing.
John Goodman (of TV show Roseanne fame), stars as Howard Stambler, and John Gallagher Jr, who played Jim Harper in The Newsroom series plays the role of Emmet.
10 Cloverfield Lane opens in theaters on Friday March 11.
