Queen of Pop Madonna is set to release a new star-studded music video that seems suspiciously similar to Taylor Swift’s recently released video for “Bad Blood.”
Madonna posted teasers to promote her new “Bitch I’m Madonna” EP and video on her social media accounts, including a short video of her twerking and a poster reminiscent of those Taylor used to promote her video.
According to the poster the video, which releases this morning, features stars Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Beyonce and Rita Ora. Taylor Swift’s video featured many celeb cameo performances as well, including Cindy Crawford and Ellie Goulding.
There is naturally speculation about how Taylor feels about all this, whether she is annoyed or flattered, but the actual video concept is not meant to parody the theme of the “Bad Blood” video. There are even rumours that Taylor may make a tongue in cheek cameo herself!
“Bitch I’m Madonna” is the third single released from Madonna’s latest album Rebel Heart, and features rap bars from Nicki Minaj.
Although Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are rumoured to have some rivalry going on, with speculation “Bad Blood” is actually about their feud, Madonna seems to get on well with both of them. The 56-year-old star posed for photos with Katy at the recent Met Gala and performed the track Ghosttown with Taylor at the iHeartRadio awards.
The short “Bitch I’m Madonna” teaser video of Madonna dancing provocatively appears to be a response to recent criticism that her raunchy outfits and moves were inappropriate for a woman of her years. In a one-piece, fishnet stockings and heels, Madonna clearly couldn’t care less what her critics say.
Her fans have her back, commenting on the video that she has the body of a 20 year old, and that 56 is the new 26!
