There is no stopping 67-year-old actor/bodybuilder/ex-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger.
As well as his upcoming Terminator Genisys movie, fans can look forward to a new instalment in the Conan the Barbarian series.
Arnie has been trying to convince Universal Pictures to continue the Conan series for over two decades. Now new management at Universal has allowed Arnold and his fans’ wishes to become a reality.
He has promised that the movie is unbelievably well-written, with much more to it than just swords and killing.
Although some Arnie films are threaded with subtle humor, producer Chris Morgan says that definitely won’t be the case this time.
The tone of the film will be a logical extension of the character established in the ‘82 film – “Think Unforgiven… with a sword-wielding barbarian.”
Chris has also excited fans by announcing that at least three characters from the original epic movie are set to return, leading to much speculation.
With sci-fi/action movie Terminator Genisys set for release from July 1, it is hoped Arnold will begin shooting the new Conan film, entitled The Legend of Conan, as soon as possible afterwards.
The aging star has a hectic schedule these days. He recently starred in the movie Maggie – a horror/thriller about a disease outbreak that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies.
Arnold says he is proud of the “beautiful film,” describing the role as the most human he has ever taken on.
Meanwhile, he’s also blowing sh*t up for charity. Of course – he’s Arnold Schwarzenegger!
