Leonardo DiCaprio and his model girlfriend, Kelly Rohrbach, have officially split up. The couple reportedly ended things over their busy schedules and not due to scandals or disagreements.
According to a source who spoke to People, the relationship has been over for awhile.
“They have been broken up for a few months now. They are very friendly and it’s super amicable.”
The two started dating over the summer and were spotted together frequently, but by New Years they were no longer being seen together.
Kelly reportedly spent the holiday with her family, while Leo was was in St. Barts with a group where he “partied with blondes and brunettes and male buddies including Leo’s longtime friend Lukas Haas.”
It isn’t too surprising that the two split over their busy schedules; Leo is having a huge year with his film The Revenant.
The 41-year-old actor is a top Oscar contender for the film, and he has already been nominated for Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe awards for the role. Leo has had four Oscar noms and no wins.
Kelly has a lot on her plate too as the 25-year-old Sports Illustrated model is turning to the big screen to star in the upcoming Baywatch film. Kelly will be playing the role of C.J. Parker which originally shot Pamela Anderson to fame.
Some news outlets have gone so far as to wonder whether the split has something to do with Leo entering Oscar season, and wanting to make careful choices about what he is associated with at this time.
