Famous funnyman, Kevin Hart, is writing an inspirational memoir entitled, From the Hart. The book will be published with 37 Ink, a subdivision of Simon & Schuster’s Atria Publishing Group, which recently released Walking With the Muses by Pat Cleveland, one of the first black supermodels during the 1960s.
Kevin is famous for his fast-paced confessional comedy where no subject is taboo. From his divorce to Torrei Hart in 2011, to his father’s lifelong cocaine addiction, Kevin finds humor even his darkest moments and has used the pitfalls and setbacks he’s experienced to motivate him even further.
The memoir will track his rise to fame, coming from a single parent household in Philadelphia while his father was in and out of jail, to his first stand-up gigs in Philadelphia and Boston. Now Kevin is one of the highest paid comedians in Hollywood, selling out his hugely ambitious stand-up tours, and starring in films alongside major A-list actors like Will Ferrell and The Rock.
Vice President and Publisher of 37 Ink had this to say about Kevin, “I’ve been watching Kevin’s star rise ever since he stole the show in Think Like a Man. He not only has a comedic sensibility that is perfectly-pitched for our time, he has a bounty of stories from his life that are wise, funny, and entertaining.”
From the Hart is set to release on Father’s Day (June 18) of 2017.
