2. Brittany Murphy (1977-2009)
In addition to films like Clueless, Riding in Cars With Boys, and 8 Mile, Brittany Murphy did over 200 episodes of voiceover work on the animated series King of the Hill as Luanne Platter and was featured on Broadway in a revival of A View from the Bridge by Arthur Miller. Her body of work consists of over 100 movies and TV shows, which could be attributed to a passion for performing that began at a very early age.
Brittany passed away after collapsing in her home at only 32 years of age. Medical examiners eventually listed it as being from pneumonia, iron-deficient anemia, and a variety of medications in her system. Her husband died of pneumonia and iron-deficient anemia as well, just six months later. There were rumors that the couple had succumbed to the effects of toxic mold, and after originally contesting this, Brittany’s mother now believes that may have been the case after all.
