On the weekend Hillary Rodham Clinton finally announced she’s running for president – and she appears to have huge support from Hollywood.
Lena Dunham, Ellie Goulding, Magic Johnson and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were among the stars to show their support following Ms. Clinton’s announcement.

I feel @HillaryClinton will be a great President for the American people and she will make sure that everyone has a voice!

I have an announcement: I’m not running for president. Yay #Hillary2016 ! — Jesse Tyler Ferguson (@jessetyler) April 12, 2015
And they were in good company! Ariana Grande, Kat Dennings, America Ferrera, Amy Poehler, and Carole King are just some of the other stars who have taken to social media to back the presidential candidate.
Katy Perry, Eva Longoria, George Takei and Kerry Washington (all known to be Democrats) didn’t have much to say about Ms. Clinton’s announcement, but reposted her announcements. In this case, we think it’s safe to say retweets = endorsements.
Other stars who backed Ms. Clinton in her last bid for the presidency – and presumably will again – include Sally Field, Elton John, Jack Nicholson, Natalie Portman, Barbara Streisand and Ellen Degeneres.

What part of “smart, experienced, principled, first female president” do people seem to find so offensive? Ps I’m happy to be court jester. #hillary2016 Posted by Moby on Sunday, 12 April 2015
