Amy Schumer is kicking off her 19 stop spring comedy tour on April 7th, which will begin with a small show in Reading, Pennsylvania. All of the tour dates were announced on Monday.
Amy has quickly segued from stand-up comedian to actress, producer, writer, and director, yet she continues to sell out shows with her stand-up comedy, and it doesn’t seem like she’s slowing down anytime soon. Her one-hour HBO comedy special, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo was the most watched Saturday night comedy special debut on HBO since 2009.
In 2015 Amy won the Critic’s Choice Award for Best Actress in a Comedy and was nominated for a Writers’ Guild Award in the category of “Original Screenplay” for the film Trainwreck, in which she starred and wrote. The film was also nominated for two Golden Globes.
She is currently starring in the indie film Thank You For Your Service and will follow that with a still untitled 20th Century Fox film opposite Goldie Hawn.
Amy continues to star, write, and executive producer the show she created Inside Amy Schumer, which first aired on Comedy Central in 2013 and debuted to the highest ratings of the year for the network. Since that debut it has won the Writers Guild Award for Best Comedy/Variety Sketch series, as well as awarded an Emmy for the first time Outstanding Sketch Variety Series became a category. Amy’s first book The Girl with The Lower Back Tattoo will be released August 16.
Amy’s comedy tour will kick off in Pennsylvania before going to Utah, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Carolina, Kentucky, New York, and Florida, will multiple stops in each state.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m.
