While Ellen has been doing comedy for a few decades, she didn’t really take over the spotlight until her self-titled sitcom premiered in 1994, running until 1998. The show was a hit, but was cancelled not long after the controversial coming out episode. The move made Ellen a household name though, and in 2003, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” began.

Now in its twelfth season, the show has been a huge hit from day one, not to mention it got everybody dancing! Ellen has won four Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host and 14 People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Daytime TV Host.

Of course, Ellen’s been involved in other projects too; we’ll never forget Dory from Finding Nemo, and we’re very excited about the upcoming sequel, Finding Dory, which hits theaters next year.
